## Mandate

1. Community-led projects built on self-help, empowerment and capacity-building skills development.
2. Training, support and assistance for community projects set out in the PBO deed of trust.
3. Prevention of infectious disease, with education on COVID-19, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and other preventable illnesses.
4. Primary health education, sexual education, family planning and prevention of gender-based violence.

- [Safe Travel To School](https://impactinvest4africa.org/#p1): funds PPE packs for learner transporters, who carry more than 80 000 children to school daily in the Western Cape. R3 000 sponsors one kit (thermometer, hand sanitiser, surface sanitiser, reusable masks, spray bottle), covering one transporter and roughly 15 children for two months.

- [Internship Training for Medical Receptionists](https://impactinvest4africa.org/#p3): a three-month internship combining on-the-job practice and coaching in a healthcare setting, with a certificate of completion. Responds to youth unemployment of 59% (Stats SA, Q1 2020).
- [Gender-Based Violence Intervention](https://impactinvest4africa.org/#p4): empowerment of women and children, awareness of legal rights, livelihood strategies and self-defence for women.
